Eberechi Eze has been a target of Arsenal’s and other Premier League teams’ attention throughout the summer. Since Oliver Glasner’s arrival at Selhurst Park in 2020, the number 10 has become one of the most dependable playmakers in the Premier League.
He has been a crucial part of the Austrian’s system. Eze, who scored the only goal as Palace defeated Man City in the FA Cup final last season, is entering his prime at the age of 27. According to FootballTransfers, Arsenal is willing to pay £55 million for the England international, with £30 million of that amount being paid outright.
Arsenal had a strong 2024/25 season, finishing second in the Premier League for the third year in a row and making it to the Champions League semi-finals. The Gunners, on the other hand, failed to win a trophy for the second consecutive season despite their excellent performances.
In an effort to finally get Arsenal over the finish line, Mikel Arteta, whose most recent trophy at the Emirates came in 2020, has overseen the addition of six new players this summer. Kepa Arrizabalaga and Christian Norgaard, two veteran players, have joined the Arsenal team as additional depth.
Additionally, the Gunners have signed winger Noni Madueke from Chelsea and defender Cristhian Mosquera from Valencia. The club’s two key signings to date, however, have been midfielder Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad and striker Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon, as Arsenal remains in the market for further additions. The North London team appears to be getting closer to signing yet another important target.
