Former Seattle Seahawks cornerback #RichardSherman has been charged with driving under the influence following an arrest in 2024.

According to court documents, Sherman had slurred speech and bloodshot eyes after he was pulled over for speeding in an HOV lane. The charge was filed after the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s office received the blood-test results from the Washington State Patrol Crime Lab that were taken the night of the arrest. Sherman was reportedly argumentative while taking field sobriety tests, refused a breath test at the scene and again at the Washington State Police office before being taken to a hospital for a blood sample.

The sample results which took over a year to complete, concluded that Sherman did not pass the test with a blood alcohol level of around 0.11, which is 0.03 above the state’s legal limit of 0.08. He’s scheduled for a court hearing on June 30.
